In the past few months, we’ve seen some of the worlds biggest companies lay off thousands of employees in the name of AI efficiency. According to the Economic Times, 2025-26 saw over 1.1 millions jobs lost due to cuts. Earlier this year, tech giants such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Intel cut a collective 165,000 jobs in order to fund further AI developments. From entry level jobs to middle management, AI is eating the workforce at a rapid pace, and the threat of sudden unemployment and walled off career paths is looming over every worker more and more.
